I feel like + (verb+ing) = To express what you would enjoy doing.
Example:
Mahesh: The weather is now pleasant. isn’t it Kiran?
Kiran: Yes, Mahesh. Very nice weather. I feel like going for a long bike ride.
Some more examples:
- “I have a splitting headache. I feel like having a cup of coffee.”
- “I have been working continuously for three hours. I feel like taking a break.”
- “The dessert smells very good. I feel like eating it first”
I don’t feel like + (verb+ing) = To express what you would NOT enjoy doing.
Example:
Mother: Raju, it’s already 7. Wake up and get ready to go to college.
Raju: No Amma. I don’t feel like going to college today. Please let me sleep till 9.
